on, we are posting the Open Event winners here in a separate article. Shown at left are: Tim Estes with Lock, Jody Jessup with Lawyer, Kevin Yates with Penny, and Chris Allen with Molly.

Camaraderie plays a great part in any PKC event. For sometime, Jim Smith, shown in the center in the photo at right, has taken flack for his beloved St. Louis Cardinals. Paul Sheffield of Baxley, GA, a devout Atlanta Braves fan, has been particularly rough on Smith over the years. Well, everyone should know this is the Cardinal’s year as the Redbirds post the best record in the major leagues with a ten game lead over the Chicago Cubs in their division. Here Smith is “in-your-face,” sporting a Cardinal’s jersey. Longtime friend Jack Cannon on left and this writer join Jim Smith at the Tennis Center just after the casts were called.
