secret at all. Start with a good hound, do your homework through the week, concentrate on the hunts where the big bucks are paid, and simply put the many years of handling savvy to work for the two-hour contest. That sounds simple enough doesn’t it? And there’s one thing more – score more points than the competition. Of course, in a honey-hole of a place like Kolona, on the North Fork of the English River in southeastern Iowa, scoring plus points at this time of year on lots of coon is no problem.
Saturday night, Salfen, handling SCH Wipeout Tommy, co-owned with Dennis Thronhill won the PKC Blue Ribbon Event in Kolona. The cast, guided by Daniel Vercande, scored on six singles. Wipeout Tommy’s winning score was 700 plus!

PKC congratulates Rick, Dennis, and a Walker hound named Tommy for this impressive win at Kalona!
