to draw quality to its benches, “The Tour” as it is commonly called brought 42 hounds to the Tennis Center on Saturday. The judges were Bill Clawson of Ohio, Steve Drake of Kentucky, and Sheldon Swenson of Minnesota. Purina representative Harold Kirkes of Oklahoma served as Ring Steward. Steve Fielder served as Show Director and Master of Ceremonies and was assisted by Carol Fielder, the show secretary. The tellers who tallied the votes as they came in from the judges were Sandra Law of Georgia, Fern East of Indiana, and Dianne McClendon of Tennessee.

Several new winners were posted in this show and several breeds were represented. Classes were much larger than usual with five hounds on the benches at the class level at times. By example, there were seven Black and Tans entered in the Open show. This indicates the growth of the program.

Here are the winners of this quality PKC/PURINA National Bench Show Tour event.
