s Black Gold Championship Series of PKC events slated for this year. As the name implies, Black Gold Dog Food will be the sponsor for the series beginning on June 15th with a hunt in Iola, TX.

According to Prince, the series will consist of six qualifying events in which the top four dogs will qualify for the final championship hunt at Personville, TX on September 6th. Here is the schedule:

June 15 – Iola, TX , $500 Added
June 28 – Whitesboro, TX, $500 Added
June 29 – Pilot Point, TX, $500 Added
July 6 – Personville, TX ,$500 Added
July 13 – Sulphur Springs, TX, $500 Added
August 10 – Bryan, TX $500 Added
September 6 – Personville, TX, Final Championship, $1500 Added

There will be a $25 Open Event held on Saturday, Sept. 6 in conjunction with the Final Championship.

Here are the hunt rules:

Six hunts to qualify (at each hunt, the top four dogs will qualify for the Championship hunt. Note: A dog can only qualify once for the Championship hunt. If the same dogs wins, the dog in fifth place will advance to qualifying status. The final Championship hunt will consist of 24 dogs to compete for the title. This hunt will be a two (2) night hunt with two (2) elimination rounds on Friday and a final cast of the top four (4) dogs. All seven (7) hunts will be sanctioned by PKC. The final winner to be titled the first “Texas Black Gold Champion.” The entry fees for the hunts will be $55.00 and all deadlines will be 8:00 PM.
