Wes & Ruby Take Friday's 2018 PKC River Bottoms Classic Final

It was a hot Friday evening, both for the early round and as the late round headed to the timber about 1:15 AM. The early round casts scored on several coon, while the final scored two, one by Ruby and the other by Latch. The 25 points that separated Ruby and Latch in the strike column, was the determining factor between first place and second place, a substantial $10, 000 gap! Thursday night's Final Cast came to hunt and hunt they did. It was a warm September night for the early round, but it had cooled down nicely by the time final dogs were cast around 1:30 AM. The raccoon seemed to move well for each cast early, but only one coon was scored on the final, and I'm sure Kenny would be happy to tell ya, Slim was under it!

The four finalists in the last Blue Ribbon Pro Hunt of the 2018 season, chose the split option of $2,300 each and head for home early Saturday night. The Final Four dogs and handlers are shown below.
