2017 PKC Spring Super Stakes Championship Starts Monday

Evansville, IN –

The 2017 PKC Spring Super Stakes Championship gets underway next week in Sullivan, Indiana. The Sullivan County Coon Hunters Club and our satellite clubs at Greencastle, IN; Washington, IN; and Robinson, IL are ready for a big week!

Qualifying nights will be Monday through Thursday with dogs winning two (2) casts (early and late) on either qualifying night advancing to the semi-final rounds on Friday night.

For the first time at this year's Spring Super Stakes, early round cast winners Monday – Thursday, not advancing through the late round will earn $250 each. These single cast win checks may be used for re-entry the next day.

Entries may be confirmed from 3:00 PM until 5:30 PM each day Monday through Thursday. Non-reserved entries will also be accepted during this time. The calling of first round casts will take place at 6:00 PM daily.

First time entry fee is $150, and re-entry fee is $250 for those with reservations. For those members failing to make reservations, first time entry fee is $190, and re-entry fee is $290.

Vendors will be setting up on Sunday afternoon, April 2nd.

The 2017 Spring Freshman “Baby” Super Stakes Championship for 2016 model spring pups (birth dates 05/01/16 to 10/31/16) will be held on Saturday, April 8th. Entry fee for the event is $65 for reserved entries and $90 for those that do not have reservations.

The Overall 2017 PKC Bear Creek Classic Champion is Trader's After Shock. Shock is a 2014 Treeing Walker male, owned by Jed Finley of Indianola, Iowa and handled by Garren Gibson of Ridgeway, Missouri. Shock accumulated five cast wins, resulting in three Final Fours and 1,725 plus points this week.  Big thanks to the 2017 Bear Creek sponsors; Tri-Tronics, Jerry's Hunting Supply, Bruce Conkey, Timber Ridge, Branded Creations, Timber Creek, Tim Swallow Trophies, Jess Dickerson, Jeremy Armes, Curt Ahring, Buzz Lynch, Big Show Calls-Josh Michaells and Kenny Reha Hunting Supply.  Thanks to everyone who worked tirelessly to put on another great Bear Creek Classic.
