Hamilton, OH - The Butler County Coon Hunters Club of Hamilton, Ohio has made a $200 contribution to the M ichael Begley Legal Fund. Begley’s 2000 PKC World Championship Finalist Deep River Raid was shot and killed on August 2nd of this year near Williamsburg, Ohio while participating in a PKC night hunt. (See Prohound Protector, September 2002, pg.10.)

According to Butler County board member Tony Wolf of Bath, Indiana the vote was unanimous among the 58 club members to send the funds to Begley. The Kentucky resident was hunting out of the Crittenden, KY club but was taken to Ohio to hunt. The legal fund is an effort to assist with the legal fees Begley is incurring in his attempt to gain restitution for the loss of his hound.

Clubs or individuals wishing to contribute to the Michael Begley Legal Fund may do so by writing Michael Begley, PO Box 241, Rockholds, KY 40759-0241 or phone 606-549-0407.
