Aurora, KY - The 2004 PKC World Championship is history! A Tennessee hound, What's Up Doc, owned and hand led by PKC veteran Ronnie Nickens of Murfreesboro, Tennessee has won the most prestigious of all competitive coon hunts with a score of 200 plus. The hound earned $27,000 for the victory in addition to numerous awards including a Wolverine Dog Box presented by the Owens Corporation of Sturgis, Michigan.

Tony Walker, hunting the Rat Poison male owned by Eddie Fields of Tallahassee, Florida placed second with 125 plus, beating Cabo Wabo, owned by Walker, Cross, and Hawkins, whose score was also 125 plus, by virtue of more tree points. Jess Dickerson placed fourth with Mabel with a score of 50 plus.

The crowd at the Tennis Center waited until the 4:30 AM return of the cast and warmly congratulated the winners. It was a great World Hunt and one that will long be remembered by the nearly 1400 entries that participated in the event. Unlike the 2003 final cast, the weather was picture perfect for the two-hour contest.

We deeply appreciate all that came to Aurora to hunt, show, judge, guide, or just visit over the ten days of the Super Stakes and the World Hunt. It may sound cliched but, we just couldn't have done it without YOU!
