First of all, congratulations! It’s not easy earning a PKC “Truck Ticket”. You and your hound have a lot of miles and cast wins behind you. We have assembled a great group of experienced judges and awesome guides for this year’s hunt. The Mississippi Delta area has some of the best hunting on planet earth and the weather will be just about right for a Real Coonhunt. You are only three cast wins away from driving home in that new truck, Good Luck!

Friday from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM, come draw for your cast, pick up your jacket and get your photo in front of the new truck. Please be prompt.

* Please note: Any handler not available for their photo before 3:30 PM will not be pictured in the PROHOUND magazine article or on the PKC Website.

VEHICLE PARKING – Hunters, judges and guides. You may not at any time park under the canopy at the main entrance (motel check in) driveway, or near the valet parking area. You must park in one of the parking lots. This is especially true when you arrive back from your early round cast and when you line up for your late round cast on Friday. We have had problems with this in the past and the casino has expressed serious concern about this violation of casino policy. Problems with this issue could jeopardize our future relationship with the Isle of Capri.

CLEANING UP AFTER YOUR DOG – Always walk your dog out in a grassy area after you arrive at Lula to let it clean out before bringing your dog up for photos. As a member of PKC and the handler of a dog in PKC Events, YOU are responsible to clean up after your dog if it has an “accident” during picture taking ceremony or at any time your dog is on concrete or asphalt and not in the grass. For your convenience, PKC will provide a “pooper scooper” that you may utilize. Staying on top of this issue is also very important toward securing future events with the Isle of Capri.

If you are coming in early and would like to make motel reservations for Wednesday or Thursday nights, please call the Isle of Capri Casino @ Lula 1.800.843.4753. Tell them you are with the PKC Hunt.

Thank you, please travel safely!

Looks like great hunting weather in Lula according to the online forecast.

They are calling for 51°/37° Friday with no rain and 65°/50° Saturday with 10% chance of rain.
Prepare yourself and your hound. Hunt the dog, read the Blue Book, and your Good Book!
