Brett Denny said they are getting closer to the casting area, please pull up a chair. We will have some action shortly.
---
It's currently 65 degrees with very little wind and zero % chance of rain. The weatherman says it will get down to 57 degrees tonight. What an awsome night to be in the woods competing for a BIG PKC CHECK.
---
This Junior cast is competing for the following awards:
First place; $10,000
Second place; $6,000
Third place; $4,000
Fourth place; $2,800
---
In four short weeks we will be back here in Salem for the 2014 PKC Youth World Championship. If you would like to help out with judging, guiding or anything else, please contact a PKC Staff Member.
---
At the woods collering up!
---
Just released the dogs
---
We have action! Strike Gomex for 100, Johnny 75 and Nine for 50.
---
Tree Gomez 100
---
Johnny covered Gomez for 25
---
Rox struck for 25 with a line
---
Gomez, Johnny and Rox handled at the tree, delete Rox's 25 strike.
---
Nine at large
---
Good sized tree, lots of vines, hard to shine.
---
Squallin' n lookin'
---
Nine can still be heard trailing
---
It appears Trvis blew the reeds out of his squaller
---
Circle em' up, walking the trio one minute.
---
Gomez, Johnny and Rox have been re-released
---
Gomez restruck for 25 and is headed for Nine who is running a GOOD track
---
Track has slowed, six working...
---
Nine is looking up and Sluggo is working the stationary on him
---
Al can't stand much of that, tree Nine for 100
---
No word from Rox
---
Gomez and Johnny cover Nine for a quarter a piece
---
Tree is dead, heading that way.
---
Rox is quiet, for now
---
Tirey is heard biting on his fingernails
---
Johnny has been heard trailing off and has been minused 25-
---
Rox has been handled at Nine and Gomez's tree
---
Johnny still running
---
Coon is found, plus up Nine 150+ and Gomez 50+
---
Walk a minute
---
Dogs are released
---
Gomez, Nine and Rox all struck back in for a quarter a piece
---
Gomez, Nine and Rox all seem to be running a good track
---
Johnny is on his own
---
Brett says the three are on a VERY good and VERY hot track, goin deep
---
The cast is in smaller woodlots with big sections of cornfields and creeks
---
Sluggo is wishing he would have judged the one year olds, they are having more action
---
About 70 minutes left to hunt
---
Sounds like the dogs are trying to split up a little now
---
Track has slowed down to a crawl, six is workin', sheeters are bitin'
---
Brett thinks they took a wrong turn and ended back in a Georgia swamp
---
Travis almost out of cancer sticks
---
Johnny has picked up, moving good to the left. Nine and Rox have not been heard from in quite awhile
---
Gomez treed through the country for 100
---
Super BIG OUCH, Gomez is off and running again for 100-
---
Nine loads up in the same general area as Gomez was and Sluggo applies the stationary on him
---
Al got tired of listening and treed Nine for 100 on ahead.
---
Johnny is running off to the left and Rox has been silent
---
Cast has started the long walk to Nine, everybody is tired
---
Gomez is traing off right handed
---
Travis has re-treed Gomez for 100 while walking toward Nine
---
Cast arriving at Nine's tree
---
Nine is handled alone on a HUGE tree, bring out the search lights
---
Squallin' n lookin'
---
Plus up Nine once again, he's got 275+ now!
---
Nine is recast after walking a minute
---
Minus Gomez 100, he's off traling again
---
Walking back toward where Johnny was last heard
---
Rox is still AWOL
----
As the cast walked back toward Johnny, Tirey heard Rox and booked her for 100. A circle or plus tree can move Rox into second place.
---
With about 25 minutes left in the contest, here are the scores
Gomez; 150-
Rocks; 125 (pending)
Johnny; 25-
Nine; 275+
---
Johnny is still running wide open and Nine & Gomez have gone quiet
---
Two working on Rox
---
Two is broke, tree is dead, walking that way
---
Before the cast can reach Rox, Travis trees Gomez again for 100, hoping to move up in the cast.
---
BIG OUCH for Tirey and Scott, Rox packed her bags and sucked up 100-
---
Tirey re-treed before cast was over, going to score Gomez now. If he's got the bacon, he moves ahead of Johnny on the tie braker.
---
Al Noneman and Randy Morgan are the 2014 Junior Super Stakes Champions with "The Whole Nine Yards". Other three places will follow after scoring Gomez' and Rox's trees.
---
Footnote; Nine got treed agian with just a couple of minutes left in the cast, Al smiled and remained silent.
---
Gomez had a circle tree. Shining Rox's tree now
---
This tree could leave Rox at 4th with a blank, 3rd with a circle and 2nd with a coon. No pressure on James...
---
Rox had a circle tree!

First place Nine; 275+
Second place Johnny; 25-
Third place Rocks; 100-
Fourth place Gomez; 150-
---
Prepare yourself and your hound. Hunt the dog, read the Blue Book, and your Good Book!
