Dog A trees for 100
2nd and 3rd tree is dead .
Dog B trees for 25 . Handlers words is,
"tree me for 25."
Dog B is actually split and it was a good 120 yards from dog A ( where handler for dog B trees his dog .)
Should dog B just be awarded 100 tree points or should dog B take -25 on tree and be allowed to re tree back in for 100.
To me , it was obvious that dog B was spilt and it was a handler error .

Rule #9.E. answers this question specifically.
9.E. Separate Tree - Handlers should not call treed for a separate (split) tree. The judge should award separate (split) tree points as soon as he/she is sure the dog(s) is/are on a separate tree(s). If dog(s) are found to be on separate trees upon arrival of cast, refer to tree points rules.
Prepare yourself and your hound. Hunt the dog, read the Blue Book, and your Good Book!
