In the last printing of the Blue Book, we did not specifically cover “Automatic Split Of All Awards”. Please see clarification below.
WEEKNIGHT AND WEEKEND HUNTS ADVERTISED AS “AUTOMATIC SPLIT OF ALL AWARDS”
There will be some Open Events, including “Double Headers”, advertised as “Automatic Split Of All Awards”. In these cases, a deadline will be announced and noted on scorecards for cast winners to be back to the clubhouse. Finalists will be the top four (4) cast winners whose scorecards are presented to the Hunt Director by the advertised deadline. These finalist will then be eligible for an equal split of all awards; their dog is not required to be present.
However, if any cast winner's scorecard is not presented to the Hunt Director by the advertised deadline, cast winner will not be eligible for the final split, and the next highest scoring cast winner will be selected. In hunts with sixteen (16) entries or less, cast winners whose scorecard is not presented to the Hunt Director by the advertised deadline will be scratched from the final cast and will receive last place awards.
