WALKING THE 1 MIN FROM LAST TREE

Postby Marvin Rooffener » Tue Dec 22, 2015 2:22 pm

Does the cast have to stay together to recast to a dog trailing after the last tree? If not can one cast member elect to mill around the last tree for the minute before recasting regardless how far the other handlers take their dogs in the minute?

Marvin, the short answer is yes, the cast should be together while walking the minute.

After a tree is scored and recorded, the judge should instruct the handlers to untie their dogs and come to him. Once everyone is together the minute should be walked and dogs recast or six minute rule applied.
Prepare yourself and your hound. Hunt the dog, read the Blue Book, and your Good Book!
