Policy Update-Immediate Suspension Pending Investigation

Postby Jerry Moll » Fri May 30, 2014 1:40 pm

The following policy update was unanimously approved by the PKC Executive Committee and becomes effective May 30, 2014.

The paragraph shown below has been added to page #9 of the New Blue Book, under the INFRACTIONS AND PENALTIES section.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Immediate Suspension Pending Investigation – In order to preserve the professional atmosphere, integrity and safety of PKC Events, the PKC National Association Executive Committee and/or PKC Management reserve the right to immediately suspend any member directly following serious and obvious misconduct. In these rare cases, the member will be informed that their suspension will begin immediately, they are no longer permitted to compete at the event and the extent of their suspension will be determined by a Disciplinary Panel following a full investigation. Should the temporarily suspended member be given a suspension sentence by the Disciplinary Panel, they will receive credit for time already served during their Immediate Suspension period. If a temporarily suspended member is found to be innocent of all charges filed, he/she will immediately be reinstated to the PKC National Association with all membership privileges intact.
