~ PKC Senior Showdown Eligibility ~

Postby Jerry Moll » Wed Jan 18, 2012 5:17 pm

The current PKC Senior Showdown qualification rules and processes were approved by the PKC National Association’s Executive Committee and have been in effect since August of 2007.

Both the PKC Pup Shootout and PKC Senior Showdown “Truck Hunts” were born from the highly successful PKC Super Stakes Program. This is why all of the rules surrounding qualification for both Truck Hunts are related back to the PKC Super Stakes Program.

For the purposes of the PKC program rules, a “Pup” graduates to being a “Senior Dog” the month after the pup’s third or "Senior" Super Stakes Championship. (This will be between three and four years of age, depending upon actual date of birth and if it is a Fall pup or a Spring pup.) Simply put, for a “Senior Dog” to be eligible to compete for a Senior Showdown Truck Ticket, it can no longer be in the “Pup” category.

No dog may compete for a Senior Dog “ticket” until the month following what would be their Senior Super Stakes Championship, whether they are Super Stakes eligible, Litter Registered or Single Registered.
