Good luck tonight to all the youth hunters who attend the St Jo leg of the 2021 Texas Breaking Curfew Youth Series.

The first leg of the 2021 Texas Breaking Curfew Youth Series is in the books. We hunted 4 dogs on both rounds in St Jo. We want to thank all youth hunters, parents and all club members that helped make this hunt possible. The winner from each round received $72 in open money and $200 in added purse money.

Laret Manning won the early round with Hank.
Holden Hawkins won the late round with Squaw.
Laret also won $100 for treeing the fastest coon in the early round.

Laret and Holden both received 70 points tonight and are the current series leaders after this leg.

Our next hunt is March 20th in Shepherd. This is a $30 doubleheader. We hope to see everyone there.

Thanks Ben for reporting in for me. I’ll be back on my duties for the next one. Congratulations to Laret Manning for winning the early round and to Holden Hawkins for winning the late.Cast wins paid $272 dollars and they also earned 70 points towards qualifying for the championship. I would also like to say thank you to the St Jo club for holding the event and thanks to all those that attended. We will now be moving on to Shepherd, Tx on March 20th for another youth DH. Next Saturday, March 20th, will be the second leg of the 2021 series and it will be another youth DH held in Shepherd, Tx at the Cleveland Coonhunters club. Shepherd will also be holding an open DH the night before on Friday the 19th. So there will be a DH for all ages on Friday and a DH for youth on Saturday. For youth hunters hunting on Saturday this is another qualifying round to earn points towards a spot in the championship final four. Hope to see y’all there.

Also the Corrigan youth DH is back on schedule for April 17th. If you look in the upcoming events schedule it is now listed as Groveton. Also there is an advertised $250 AP per round.

We are now less than a week away from the Shepherd leg of the series. Saturday March the 20th will be the second leg of the 2021 series. It will be a youth DH in Shepherd, Tx.

Tomorrow night, Saturday March 20th, the Shepherd, Tx club will be hosting the second leg of the 2021 Texas Breaking Curfew Youth series. It will be a $30 youth DH. Also in the early round we will have the $100 bonus for the fastest coon treed. There are guaranteed $100 cast wins. In the past there has always been added purse donated at the hunt. So youth hunters come on out to the Shepherd, Tx club tomorrow night and join us for another round of the 2021 series.

Youth hunters come out to Shepherd, Tx tonight for the second leg of the 2021 Texas Breaking Curfew Youth Series. It will be a $30 DH with deadlines of 8 and 12. There are guaranteed $100 cast wins and there will be added purse donated at the club tonight. Plus cast wins earn you points towards qualifying for the championship. Also tonight the kitchen will be open so there will be food before the hunt and probably between rounds. Hope to see y’all there.

The second leg of the 2021 Texas Breaking Curfew Youth Series is now in the books. It was a beautiful night in Shepherd, Tx for a coon hunt with clear skies and light winds. We had 8 youth hunters on the early round and 6 on the late. 3 out of the 4 casts of the night scored on coons. Each cast win of the night paid $225. Your early round winners were Dawson Pope hunting Ace and Anna Sanchez hunting Hooker. Anna and Hooker also took the $100 bonus for the fastest coon treed. Late round cast winners were Seth Patton hunting Stymie and Holden Hawkins hunting Squaw. Holden now has 2 cast wins making him the points leader going into the next qualifying hunt. First, I would like to thank Mr. Floyd Daniels and the Shepherd club for holding this event for our youth hunters. Thank you to the cook and helpers for serving food before the hunt and breakfast in between rounds. A big thanks to all the guys who dug in their pockets to donate money to cover the $100 cast wins and the added purse money. Thank you to the judges and guides that took our youth hunters safely to and from the woods. Thank you to the parents and mentors for bringing the youth hunters to this event. In one week, on Saturday April 10th, the third leg of the 2021 Texas Breaking Curfew Youth Series will be held in Ratcliff, Tx. It will be another $30 youth DH. Youth hunters make your plans to join us for a night of competition coonhunting next Saturday.

The Texas Breaking Curfew Youth Series is still wide open and it’s about to heat up starting this Saturday in Ratcliff, Tx. There will be three straight weekends of DH qualifying events and after that will be the championship in Buffalo, Tx on May 1st. This Saturday April 10th will be Ratcliff, Tx, April 17th will be Groveton, Tx and the qualifying rounds will finish up in Queen City, Tx on April 24th. The race is still wide open as you have one double cast winner and four single cast winners with six more chance to earn points towards qualifying. With that being said, youth hunters come on out to these next three qualifying events to try and earn points towards qualifying for the championship.

Youth hunters, come on out to Ratcliff, Tx tonight for a youth DH and a chance to earn points towards qualifying for the championship. It is a $30 youth DH with 8:00 and 12:00 deadlines.

The third leg of the series is now in the books. It was a nice night in Ratcliff, Tx for a coonhunt with both early round casts and the one late round cast scoring on coons. You had 8 youth hunters hunt early and between early morning obligations, dog and equipment malfunctions we dropped down to 4 late. Your early round winners were Mallori Oliver hunting Grace and Laret Manning hunting Hank. Laret was also the $100 winner for the fastest coon treed. The late round we had the one preteen youth take it from the teenagers. The late round winner was Holden Hawkins hunting Squaw. Young Mr Hawkins and his dog Squaw have become late round dangerous as they have won all three late rounds of the series so far. Also Holden holds on to the series lead with 3 casts wins. Congratulations to all 3 cast winners in Ratcliff last night. I would like to thank Justin and Amanda Oliver and the Ratcliff club for holding this event for our youth hunters. I would like to thank our judges and guides for leading our youth hunters safely to and from the woods. Thank you to the parents, mentors, and youth hunters who came out and joined us. Next weekend the fourth round of qualifying will be held in Groveton, Tx. It will be another $30 Youth DH and there is an advertised $500 added purse. Hope to see y’all there.

This Saturday April 17th in Groveton, Tx will be the 4th leg of qualifying events for the 2021 series. The race is still wide open with 2 double headers left to go. Right now one youth has 3 cast wins, one youth has 2 cast wins, and 4 have single cast wins. So, in the next 2 weeks you have 4 casts to try to get wins and earn points towards qualifying for the championship. Records are being kept and the top 4 points earners will make up the championship cast to go out and hunt for $1000 AP plus the $72 cast win. So come on out this Saturday to Groveton, Tx and join us for a night of competition coonhunting.
