Battle on the Border Youth Finals PBP

Cheyenne will be judging and Dalton will be the guide along with relaying the play by play back to me, Jen.
Ethan Myers is a 16 year old junior in high school from Commerce, OK. Ethan started hunting at 8 years old and went to his first competition hunt this summer after he heard about our Battle on the Border. He mainly hunts with Pokey Self and Timmy Lewis .
Ethan plays football and soccer for Commerce High School. Playing offensive guard and middle linebacker. Last night they defeated Colcord 47-20.
Tonight Ethan will be hunting a 5 year old English male named Shaker owned by Pokey Self.
Braxton Wills is a 10 year old 5th grader from Wyandotte, OK. Braxton started hunting with his step dad JB Jones at 8 years old. His first competition hunt was at 8 years old hunting in a double header at Seneca against the big boys. Brax jumped into the competition coonhunting world head first and can be found hunting in a hunt somewhere just about every weekend. I would also like to recognize his mom Jennifer who has spent countless hours going with Braxton so both her guys can hunt in hunts.
In addition to his busy hunting schedule Braxton also plays football, baseball and basketball.
Tonight he will be hunting a 4 year old English male named Screamer he co-owns with Kirby Lee.

We had a nice shower earlier today and right now it is a beautiful 70 degrees. Dalton is going to be guiding to the Spring River bottoms just over the Oklahoma line. 7 year old Kash Cummings will be tagging along as the assistant guide and Chey's back-up judge.

After waiting on Braxton's football game to finish and a few pictures the cast is headed to the woods. Ethan is sporting some new snake proof chaps he is hoping they don't have to try out.

Dalton has just replied they have arrived at the spot. BIG river bottoms. It is thundering off to the west and that they may get wet before the night is through. This will be a 90 minute cast.

Dogs are cast, minutes up not a peep from either.

Screamer breaks the silence and is struck for 100. 6 working.

Dalton says Screamer has his running gear set on high and is way through the country.
Ethan has struck Shaker fot 75 a good piece right handed.

Screamer is still trailing the BIG coon through the bottoms.
Shaker has found a track he really likes and is rolling down the river.

Braxton says, "Judge you hear me through there?" Screamer is called treed for 100.

Cast says the thunder is rolling in!

Den tree circle Screamer up 200 and the cast is headed back to where they last heard Shaker.
