2020 PKC National Championship March 18-21 @ Salem, IL

- Awesome Format Updates For The 2020 PKC National Championship -

For several years the entries at the PKC National Championship have been lower than expected, compared to the number of dogs qualified. In coordination with the PKC Executive Committee, we have made some format changes for this year, on a trial basis, and expect the entry numbers and awards to increase dramatically.

Entry fees will be increased by $50 each, to ensure a payback of $250 to each early round cast winner who is defeated in their late round. This single cast win award credit can be used for your re-entry the next day, if you so choose. This same procedure was implemented several years ago for the Super Stakes and World Championships, which resulted in great success.

All early and late qualifying rounds, Wednesday through Friday will utilize Hunting Judges, under Open Event Rules. All Saturday and Sunday casts will be under Pro Rules with Non-Hunting Judges. Based upon last year’s entry numbers, we would expect this to free up a substantial amount of cash for additional Quarter, Semi and Final Awards.

This year’s PKC National Championship will be held in Salem, Illinois March 18-21, 2020. Please see the PKC Message forum and PROHOUND magazine for a listing of this year’s qualifiers and reservation forms. The postmark deadline for mailed in reservations is Monday March 9, 2020 and the phone in reservation deadline is Thursday March 12, 2020.

•First time entry fee with reservation will be $150
•First time entry fee without reservation will be $190
•Re-entry fee with reservation will be $250
•Re-entry fee without reservation will be $290

*Note: All Platinum & Gold Champions and any dog with Open Event earnings of $1,000+ during the 2019 competition season are automatically qualified to compete in the National Championship. Each shall be required to pay a $250 entry fee with reservation, or $290 without.

Come join us in Salem, Illinois and make some great memories!
