PKC FROZEN SEMEN POLICY

— COLLECTION —
Prior to collection, sires must be PKC registered and DNA Profiled. The sire's PKC number must be clearly identified and affixed to each and every vial by the collection and storage facility at the time of collection. If the dog being collected and all semen stored and used is under the same ownership, no additional PKC registration numbers will be created.

—FROZEN SEMEN TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP —
If the ownership of frozen semen breeding units are transferred to another member(s) for future use there must be a bill of sale created, signed and dated by all sellers and buyers involved. There must also be a written statement provided by the storage facility indicating the physical transfer of the semen. When this bill of sale and facility statement are received by PKC there will be a new, unique registration number generated for this particular semen now owned by the new purchaser(s). This is to ensure proper "sire owner" credit is given from pup earnings.

—FROZEN SEMEN AND PKC SUPER STAKES PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY —
Frozen semen breeding units may be entered into the PKC Super Stakes Program just as a live sire. All the same rules apply for first time enrollment, fall and spring divisions and/or individual litters. If frozen semen for a particular dog is owned by more than one individual or partnership, each unique registration number must be entered into the program individually.

—USING FROZEN SEMEN FOR BREEDING —
When breeding with frozen semen, use the standard litter application and mail the yellow copy to PKC within fifteen (15) days of the breeding. Please note on the application that frozen semen was used along with the insemination facility's name and phone number.

—REGISTERING LITTERS FROM FROZEN SEMEN —
When registering a litter from frozen semen insemination, use the standard litter application and mail the white copy to PKC with all blanks filled out completely. Please note on the application that frozen semen was used along with the insemination facility's name and phone number.
