2022 Minutes of Meeting – Copenhagen, NY
Friday – April 29, 2022

Meeting called to order by State President Herm Flowers at 7:05. Herm thanked the Copenhagen Club for hosting the 2022 State Hunt. He also thanked State Vice President Matt Wilday for his assistance during the year and also Dave Nicholas for taking care of the jackets for those who wanted one.

Last year's minutes were read and accepted as presented. The escrow was gone over and posted on the wall.

The upcoming NYS Youth Hunt was gone over along with the new format that was approved by the membership at last year’s meeting.

Next years state hunt location. With West Valley the only club requesting the hunt the membership agreed to have next years hunt at that location.

Awards were presented to:
2021 State Champion - SCH Planes Blu Horizon Honey owned by St. Mary or Karras
2021 State Leader SCH Hotshot Franke - owned by Privitera or Hoelsher or Aitken
2021 NYS Youth Champion - Colton Shores
2021 NYS Youth State Leader - Brock Stadler

NYS Houndsmen President, Gene VanDeusen, spoke to the members on some of the issues the Houndsmen are working on. He also commented that at the present time with the way the current body of the state legislators are made up, it is difficult to get a sponsor of any pro hunting bill that has a chance of passing into law.

Comments from the floor. Discussion about illegal tracking collars and who has a right to check them. After some more comments, Vice President Matt Wilday was asked to go over how to check to see if the collars on a cast are in compliance with the rules.

With no more issues or comments coming from the floor the meeting was adjourned.

So why is the State hunt always on Friday evenings and not on Saturday evenings??? Pretty tough for the working man to leave work and make deadline. Wouldn't it make more sense to have the open event on Friday and the State hunt on Saturday??? Just curious.
