I believe the $25 yearly membership should go down now that pkc don’t have to pay for magazines.....be like a kennel membership and only be $15....

Roger, i know your probably sick of this business and people whining and crying but I’m gonna whine and cry a lil hear and hopefully you take some of it to mind.
#1 your a year behind in the times...this kc at one time was the most prestigious place to be!! When a man went to a big hunt it meant something, now he’s lucky to see his name in the matchups and that’s usually the next day. Times are changing some will say for the worse some will say for the better, regardless we can all agree they are changing!!
#2 you just took away 20 percent or more of your membership fees...I know this to be the truth because my own dad will call me and talk about hunts that happened two months ago because he finally got his “prohound” magazine...the only reason he pays his $25 membership fee each month and now he will have no reason to do that. It’s hard to believe in this day and age that they is some people that doesn’t know how to use the internet but they are out there and they ain’t gonna learn how to use it they are just gonna quit sending you money!!
I don’t say this too run you or your business down...but you gonna have to get on board because they is not only 1 but now 2 Kcs that have the drive to push this one out the way and with the information Pkc has to do the things they need to grow it’s really sickening to see them even equal to Pkc...but they will end up taking over if you don’t get aboard

This is a sad day for many many coonhunters both young and old,The older hunters look forward to seeing the magazine arrive in there mail box so they can keep up and the younger guys look at the pictures inside and on the cover and dream of one day seeing there-selves in there.I dont think management realizes how much the magazine does for the organization or how many people read it from front to back.I look at all the hunts and kc s that are popping up now and always thought that the big thing that pkc has that no one else does is the magazine, with it gone the most prestigious king of all the kc s seeem to have given away a very valuable tool that only it had. Again just my opinion and that doesnt meaan very much in the big scheme of things .John

I agree with yall. My dad is 70 years old, he cant text, couldn't get on a computer if his life depends on it, but he can read and write. He reads the Prohound magazine from cover to cover every month. He has never entered a PKC hunt, but hes a paid member to get his magazine. He probably won't pay another membership just to say hes a PKC member.

Problem is he cant win. Im sure its not cost efficient to send the magazine anymore and if he dared to raise the membership fee to keep magazine you would have 100 people on here saying just get rid of it. I just dont understand now how they can justify charging any membership fee.

Sad news here and something I disagree with not everybody uses or has access to the internet and being seen in the magazine is something a lot of people and kids strive for. So are the membership fees going to be reduced or done away with? What does the 25.00 membership fee get you then? I would rather pay 35.00 dollars a year and get a magazine monthly.

I called to pay up my membership today. I asked if the membership fee was going to be reduced since the prohound magazine was being discontinued. I was told no membership fee will stay $25.

I hate too see this happen, but the sad truth is this the only prestige left in our dying sport is the ALMIGHTY DOLLAR!!! The excitement and anticipation of the bigger hunts is all but gone and the ever decreasing areas to hunt is killing the local levels. Things like this are just small signs that coonhunters are a dying breed!
