Congratulations
Tim - I know that you are as proud of your daughter as I am of mine. Our kids are out there doing the things that let us continue doing the things that we enjoy here at home. They do it in unbearable heat, dirt and dust, rain, cold and snow. The thing that is, generally, the hardest is that they do it away from home. God Bless your daughter for giving to our country. What upsets me quite a bit is that every, Tom, Dick, and Harry will jump on a thread to congratulate someone and their dog, but as you can see, not many take the time to say Thank You to our troops for letting us continue enjoying our sport.

SUPPORT
Dear Mr. Tallon,
Thank-you sir for your support , I want to let you know why our daughter decided that the service was something she wanted to do. She attend a small college for a year and a half when she came home one afternoon from her part time job and said that she wanted more for her life and that going to college was not something she was happy with( She is our only child) and when she said that she wanted to join the service we had a fit, like everyone else the first thing you think about is war and maybe their death. So I ask her why and she stated*I owe the women that came before me ,that made it possible to vote and be able to do jobs that only men do, but also for all those people both men and women that kept this country free in the past and are keeping it free now after 9/11 I feel I must do my part*, so off to the airforce she went. Now after her first four years she has reenlisted for six more and plans on staying in for her twenty years of service, as for those who don't seem to care I guess if someone they knew or if the effects of war or terrorism had a major impact on their life they would understand a little better. I don't think they don't support or understand it's just not a major part of their everyday life so they don't think about it like we do. I have come up with a understanding that may help deal with the fact so many have died in this war and why I supoort those in our miltary service .
I to thank-you and your daughter for supporting our country and anyone else that maybe or their family is supporting this GREAT COUNTRY OF BLOOD,SWEAT AND TEARS OF ONLY THE BRAVE

.their are more people killed in car wrecks in this country every year and most of them from drunk driving or drivers then this war has caused in all it's four years and yet where are those people whose should be protesting those sinceless deaths, at least those who have deid in war did it for another humans rights more then just one more for the road
I to thank-you and your daughter for supporting our country and anyone else that maybe or their family is supporting this GREAT COUNTRY OF BLOOD,SWEAT AND TEARS OF ONLY THE BRAVE

Tim and Mavis
I come from a family that is steep in military tradition. My Grandpap on my Mom's side was an Army ambulance driver in Europe during WWI. My Grandmother (his wife) received a DD214(an Honorable Discharge) for working at an ammunition factory during the same war. His 7 boys all served in WWII or Korea. My Dad served during the Korean Conflict. My Father-in-Law retired with 23 years in the USAF. I retired with 25 years with the USAF and USAFR. My brother served 20 years of Submarine duty in the Navy. His oldest is now serving on the USS San Juan (submariner, too) . My oldest is in her second enlistment with the USAF with 2 tours of duty in the desert. Recently, I was assigned as security for Hulk Hogan when he came to town. I walked away from my post(a military man NEVER leaves his post) to shake the hand of a young man in his Navy whites that had just come back from desert duty to thank him for his service. I have to apologize for my harshness towards what I percieve as apathy from some people, but, we kinda bleed Red, White, and Blue around here. It warms my heart to hear stories like your daughter's. She is part of the backbone of this great Country.
