The Little Black Creek Coon Hunters Club invites you to attend their annual Youth Fun Day in Wiggins MS on Saturday, May 4th. Registration begins at 9:00 am and activities start at 10:00 am. Please make plans to bring family, friends, and neighbors. All day activities (squalling contest, drag race, treeing contest, bench show) and food for youngsters are free. Day event winners will have the opportunity to win prizes such as dog boxes, jackets, show benches, and more. Each young person attending will receive a gift bag.
In conjunction with our Youth Fun Day, we will also be hosting 2 Youth Night Hunts. Friday night May 3rd will be a PKC youth open event with a 7:00 pm deadline. The entry fee will be $30; each cast winner earns $100 and qualifies for the PKC Youth World Championship. Early rounds only.
Saturday, May 4th after the Youth Fun Day we will be hosting the Mississippi State Youth Championship with a 6:00 pm deadline. The entry fee will be $30; each cast winner not advancing to the final four will earn a new light, $100, and qualifies for the PKC Youth World Championship. The top four cast winners will go back out on the final cast. All final four will receive a new dog box and $100 and qualify for the PKC Youth World Championship. In addition, the winner of the final cast will earn the title of Mississippi State Youth Champion, a state championship jacket, $250 and qualify for the PKC National Championship.
No prior earnings are required for a youth hunter to compete either night. There will be two age divisions (Teens 13-17; Pre-teen 12 and under). On site PKC dog and membership registration will be available.

We are certainly looking forward to coming over to this hunt again. If everything goes well I will be bringing 2 hounds and 2 youth handlers this time. Anna has been looking forward to coming back for a little over a year now. If anyone has never went to this event I can tell you it is worth traveling to. They certainly make it all about the kids.
