That’s an entertaining idea John. I would doubt PKC would ever make that change. I do believe their needs to be some more novel ideas in regards to dealing with shrinking hunting grounds and the ability for clubs to support such a large hunt. Kudos to the Salem club for being able to pull off 3 major hunts each year. I think cutting down on the number of nights they have to handle would be a good place to start. I stopped going to open hunts because they went to 1 hour , I guess I won’t be going to many other hunts now if there gonna take hunting time away ! It’s a damn shame for sure ! I hear another KC is gonna unvail some huge changes with some huge money on the line

It's insane that they're not going to the hunters and getting a vote for this. They've always been good about getting dogs in the woods in Salem as far as I've seen it's a great club nothing to gripe about here, but if you don't wanna stay up and stick it out then put somebody in there that does. Every hunt is packed into one area so certain people don't have to get far from home and that's a joke. I've always had great hunts at Salem and love the hunting but if they can't handle it then move it don't change it without asking the hunters that keep your lights on and food on your table!!

People need to just quit crying around about these new ideas give them a chance if they don’t work they don’t work! Some have sugar daddies that send them all over to hunt pay there way, others foot there own bill and do it thereself!

As a whole coonhunters need to get there $hit together start helping instead of complaining about everything!

Just my thoughts and I appreciate the opportunities that Pkc gives to everyone for the hunts they roll out! I just think there is too many hunts personally but Pkc is a business if you don’t take chances and try new things a business gets stagnate and goes down hill! Got to always try new things and keep building or you end up out of business!

It does say in the blue book all championship cast will be 2hours, but I guess they can do what they want.

Why do they have to have all 3 hunts at the same place? As a guide I could sure stay up and guide 1 week out of the year but when you get to talking about 2-3 weeks every year it could burn me out pretty quick. Just like anything else, when you use and abuse a place like Salem where the guides are constantly having hunts throughout the year it would get old. Where as if they had just one hunt a year it might get exciting for them and make it more fun then work. As one of the better guides in my area the pressure to come back with a good score kind of eats at ya. And the guys in and around Salem probably get tired of hunting the same old stuff. Not saying Salem isn't the best place for the hunts but why all three? Move a couple around for a while or even year after year to a new place. I find it fun going someplace new with new terrain myself. Just a thought!

If I’m paying $300 a night at the world hunt I want 120 minutes.
I’ve won and lost many cast’s in the last few minutes and seconds in a 2 hr hunt. I want to feel like I got my money’s worth at $150 an hour when it’s over.
Y’all do what ever you want. I’m about done anyway. No prestige left in running up and down the road wearing out trucks and spending a lot of money to win a little. Money that I have to earn by crawling under nasty houses during the daylight hours.
