I know my opion doesn’t mean nothing but please read my post

Postby Jeff Travis » Sat Jun 16, 2018 4:39 am

In the past several years we changed serveral in things in Pkc and none one of the changes has made a big impact.i maybe wrong but this is a huge drop in numbers at the breeder stakes it’s seems like when one one 2 people make there mind up here we go. The last time I checked I thought we had a 5 people over all the rule changes. If we don’t do something some we will back hunting when the days Jarvis started it up at the PCA days. I’m not bashing no one but someone needs to open there eyes opens and sitting around cutting getting rusted Just nails thinking about in in the sport when Ronnie ninckens and started going to the hunts. Thanks for reading call me if you have any ideas. 615-513-4494

The collar rule stopped me , I want turn mine loose without one. The hunts will never be what they once were and thats a shame too many people worried about what the handler is doing and not about whats on the end of their own leash. Im sure we as hunters and all the folks at PKC value your onion Jeff, hope you do good at the nats.

They don’t seem to care. Everyone is begging for it in Aurora and they keep moving it and giving away less money. Why would someone want to go??

I've never been able to hit but a few hunts but I agree with Tony the game has changed if you can't afford the big entry's like the 6500 hunts whats the point in going to many if any hunts? winning a state race or a 500 added don't mean as much to people as it use to so I feel most are just quiting throwing money away in hunts less they can buy big entry's and most can't or wont so I think they just give up doing any.

$60 dollar entry... Cast win payed $56 dollars... Been better off at a $30 dollar hunt can win more... Not the best odds to get in so why go to a hunt to loose money even when you win???

Stick a fork in the Breeders Showcase cause she is getting done.

The hay day has came and gone for it.

All the divisions battling out for one final 4 was not a good plan but you don’t know till you try.

The moneys dropping to $400 added in the previous years was not a good idea.

Moving it from Aurora a nail in the coffin also. But, I don’t think the Hardin club would take it back.

There are lot of Coonhunters up north in coon country. But when in Aurora you drew more numbers because you had what seemed like the whole state of Alabama show up, Ga, the Carolinas, Ms,Tx, Mo,Fla, etc. and since it has moved I only been once and I sure didn’t see any of the old faces.

Pkc I enjoy your hunts and I understand it is a business and is to be ran that way. And,at end of day I know I just pay a membership to be along for the ride and at the end of the day pkc can do what they want. But, us old timers like stuff the way it’s started. Us old timers enjoyed Aurora in July and in October. Us old timers are the ones that are not paying entries anymore because it’s not where we enjoy going, but we giving your competition entire money to get to hunt at the tennis center. The atmosphere is not near what it is at a PKC Hunt but at least we can set there and visit and talk about the old days pkc cast we had at the tennis center and then we walk up and give your competition money. Does that make any sense?

The members set here and tell you what they want and it’s like you don’t listen.

When you stated the way you were handling final 4 at Showcase the members got on this forum and expressed their opinion of they didn’t like it and the entries held true to what was said.

The members get on this forum and tell what they do and don’t like. As a business owner if the customer doesn’t like something and expresses it from the beginning I going to listen to them because that’s where the Benjamin come from.

Listen and give the post serious thought and adhere to the wishes of the members and I bet they will show up.

But no, let’s keep adding hunts, making new series, changing Hunt formats, etc instead sticking to what worked to make you successful.

Don’t reinvent the wheel by changing the hunt style but change the hunt style by putting some value on winning it like it used to have.

DONT BECOME ACHA!!!!
