Just now gonna try and enforce this... So funny..
It's as harder then enforcing the babbling rule... Try working on that...
X2, I wouldnt even expect to compete at a high level unless i was going to the area a week early and hunting ...... Its part of what they do.

Jerry Moll wrote:In the past there has been some issues with members disrespecting the guides that provided them with a place to hunt. Some have done this by returning to the guide's hunting spots without their permission and without a license. Other times members from out of state have turned loose wherever they wanted without permission. This policy is intended to reduce some of these negative issues.
The only part that concerns me is what proof is needed? The policy doesn't say anything about if you receive a ticket you are in trouble. It just says any member "caught". So Jerry my question is are you going to need to see a ticket from law enforcement or is someone going to get reprimanded because someone said they were hunting without permission?

Obviously proof will be required, just as in any other disciplinary case.

I realize that but what I'm asking is what proof is needed? A ticket from a game warden or a member saying another member had come back to a spot without permission?

Re: Policy Notice: Pleasure Hunting At PKC Major Event Locations
I don't go back and hunt where guides have taken me unless they go with me. I don't hunt other folks spots unless it's public hunt grounds like national forrest and only here in Texas. When I'm out of state I only hunt with a buddy that's local there or on some private land where I know the land owners.
Now I know others don't do the same and hunt anywhere and go back to some spots which I think is wrong and a few bad people ruin it for the rest of us but it happens. Also the guys doing this they don't just do this stuff in conjunction with a event they do it all the time.
I'm 100% against this rule.Just my opinion If it doesnt at happen during a Pkc hunt I do not see any reason Pkc should get involved. Let proper authorities handle these incidents.
Another scenario
If you are off work ,off the clock, and off the job site but you get caught speeding in your personal truck and get a ticket. Now the next morning your job fines you and suspends you without pay for something that doesn't involve them. Now is this right, No it's not.

Most companies will fine you, or punish you in some way for this if you're insured by them to drive company vehicles. Points against you cost them more to insure you. Anytime you hurt someone else with your actions you should be held responsible.

Re: Policy Notice: Pleasure Hunting At PKC Major Event Locations
If it were not for pleasure hunting there would be no kc's. Just my opinion quit competition hunting and watch kc's try to get pleasure hunters to come. Pleasure hunting is a lot more fun and don't cost near as much and most pleasure hunter's have way better hounds. Get caught poaching go to jail it is now a felony. Thanks good day.

Re: Policy Notice: Pleasure Hunting At PKC Major Event Locations
There is nothing saying you cant pleasure hunt, its just saying if you get caught doing it in a place without permission you are in trouble. Makes great sense, only problem I have is how vague it is. I ask what they consider proof and my question was ignored. Someone ask when its in effect and all we get is during or "around" the time of the event. When is "AROUND" the event and is so and so saying someone went back to his spot proof? I'm not trying to be a pain but vague answers just leads to more questions.
