Austin, PKC World Championship "qualification" and PKC World Championship "nomination" are two very different things and it can be confusing. Here's the details from the Blue Book, page #16.

- WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFICATION -
Entry is open to all PKC Champions, PKC Gold Champions and PKC Platinum Champions. Also, any PKC registered dog that has earned a minimum of $100 in PKC awards between October 1, 2015 - September 30, 2016 is qualified to compete in the PKC World Championship.

- WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP NOMINATION -
Any dog may be nominated for a paid entry in the World Championship by paying a nomination fee as outlined below and earning at least $100 in PKC events during the previous competition year (October 1st of the preceding year until September 30th of the current year) subsequent to payment of the nomination fee. World Championship will be held at a time and location determined by PKC. Entries will be taken for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday nights. All dogs winning first round casts will recast the same night. All dogs winning both casts on any night will advance to the quarter finals on Friday night. Any dog losing a cast any night may pay another entry fee and compete again on another night. All entrants must send in a twenty-five ($25) dollar deposit per night per dog to reserve an entry. Deposit will be refunded when entry is confirmed on the grounds. Deposit will be forfeited if entrant fails to show. The deposit cannot be transferred to another member or dog or to another night.

- NOMINATION FEE SCHEDULE -
If Paid By December 31st; $75
If Paid By February 28th; $100
If Paid After February 28th; $125

The reservation numbers look similar to last year, we expect a HUGE crowd.

If you failed to reserve your entry by the deadline, no problem, we will take walk up entries each day Monday - Thursday.

Your PKC Registered dog is qualified to hunt in the 2016 PKC World Championship if it has $500 or more in lifetime earnings or has won $100 or more in PKC Awards in the 2016 year.

Hope to see ya in Salem!!!
Prepare yourself and your hound. Hunt the dog, read the Blue Book, and your Good Book!
