The two-dog semi-final cast #3 late last night set up a rare situation for a two-dog National Championship Final tonight. On late round cast #3, Money Maxed Out and Wipeout Jessie Jane, were both scratched on the first tree of the cast. In this scenario, rule #18.F. prevents neither dog from advancing to the next round. We hate it for them both of them and understand their disappointment in getting knocked out so close to the final. Since there was no score to work with, no cast winner was determined. There were lots of different ways the situation could have been resolved, with no perfect solution. Each of Saturday's three late round casts were guaranteed a minimum of $8,500 (semi-final loss + 3rd place awards) when they left and went to the woods. The two cast #3 competitors split the minimum awards of $4,250 each. As always, there will be some disagreeing with this decision, but we believe it is the most equitable for everyone involved.
On to tonight’s Final Cast... We will have photos posted and a Play By Play starting around 9:00 PM CDT this evening here: http://prohound.com/playbyplay.php
